I’ve been missing home more than ever for my own reasons . NY is everywhere I go even if I’m not there physically .. from songs , to people I know , in commercials , etc . I realized NY is the one place everyone wants to be . Alot of people come from different countries to start new there . They call it the melting pot of the US . So many different cultures , its beautiful . You walk down the street & you see a plethora of skin tones , varities , no one person is the same . In a group of people , you can pick out a NYorker .. we stick out like sore thumbs . We NYorkers are not afraid to speak or minds & we hold our tongues for noone . Most say we’re rude & arrogant . Our accent is one in a million . ( lost mine though =/ ) . I believe the streets make you grow up faster & give you different outlook on life . If thrown into the city , or NY period .. not many can survive . You not only have to be smart .. but you have to be street-smart . It’s the city that never sleeps . I also believe it’s a photographers dream with all its diversity .. so many amazing photos can be translated . It’s soo busy & it stops for noone . From my experience , NY has the best pizza , the best spanish food , the best chinese . Mm <3 NY is one of those you either ” sink or swim ” places . Many opportunities can arise in NYC , it’s the city of big dreams . It birthed the greatest .. ever notice most celebrities/artists are from NY ? We NYorkers rep our boroughs to the fullest whether it be the Bronx , Brooklyn , Manhattan , Queens , & Staten Island (5 boroughs of death) . You meet the greatest people & it holds people with the greatest passion to become the greatest at what they want . Like any other place it does have its negatives , the good outweigh them though . I mean , I’m sure wherever you’re from is great & all but NY is just NY .. can’t ever be imitated or duplicated , it’s like no other . It’s all around the best place in the world .. & even though most of you can’t .. I’m glad I can call it home ..
